2015 First Eucharist

Lesson Due Dates

The homework is assigned to help the children understand what their role will be when they join the Church community. The sacramental preparation process can and should be a transforming one – for adults as well as for the children. The most effective catechist is the one who continues to learn, to grow, and is open to the Spirit.

The Eucharist nourishes us to live as disciples of Jesus.

The lessons are to be completed at home with a parent/guardian before the lesson due date.  The students will need to bring their First Eucharist book with them to class on the designated lesson due dates. The students’ Eucharist book will be checked each week by their catechist or teacher to ensure that the lesson has been completed.

We will use supplemental material from Children Discover the Mass by Mary Doerfler Dall and First Eucharist Activities for Primary Grades by Pflaum publishing.
