SLDM has adopted Our Lady of the Gulf Church (OLG) in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, as our new national sister parish.  OLG is located on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico.  Their parishioners had just completed a renovation project of the sanctuary when the church, school, and entire parish community were devastated by Hurricane Katrina.  Several SLDM parishioners have family ties to this particular parish so our support brings a personal connection.

Our sister parish affiliation means we will support OLG with six offertory tithes annually.  The SLDM Outreach Commission is exploring additional ways for us to support our new sister parish such as planned visits to the area.  To learn more about Our Lady of the Gulf, visit their website at www.olgchurch.net.
