 In John 15:12, Jesus says, '"This is my commandment; love one another as I have loved you."
Loving and caring for one another is not just the job of our priests—it's something Jesus calls us all to do! Stephen Ministry is a ministry in which people with special gifts for caring ministry can put those gifts to use in an organized way, bringing Jesus' love and care to those who most need it.
This ministry provides one-on-one Christian care to the bereaved, hospitalized, separated, terminally ill, divorced, and unemployed. Meetings are held twice a month. Training is provided. Volunteers are required to make a two-year commitment.
Stephen Ministers simply walk beside someone who may be going through a difficult time.
A Stephen Minister is not a counselor, but rather someone who can listen and pray with someone in need—men minister to men; women, to women.
