This year marks the 13th anniversary for assisting area families in providing a Thanksgiving meal. Sally Burton started this ministry and it was her goal to deliver 1000 food baskets, in 2014 we provide 1100 families with a holiday meal! Thank you!
Our basket drive for 2015 will be :
Saturday November 21, 2015.
If you have any questions or comments , please email Dianne Weiss at

Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive
If you haven't already done so, please turn in your monetary donation to the Parish Office or offertory basket in the amount of $50.00/basket. Please make sure you reference "Thanksgiving Baskets" on your donation.
If you have already turned in your donation to the Parish, know that we have received it and THANK YOU!
Thanksgiving Basket Donations
Please drive around the south side of the Parish Office, into the school parking lot. Follow the curb around to the south side of Craig Willy Hall and there will be volunteers there to unload the basket from your car.
If you have also signed up to donate and to be a driver to deliver baskets, please keep your basket in your car. You will need to park in the parking lot in front of Craig Willy Hall and come into the Hall to get your additional baskets, maps, instructions, etc.
If it is absolutely impossible for you to deliver your basket to SLDM on Saturday, November 21, 2015, we are offering an early drop off on Friday, November 20th from 6:00pm-7:30pm. We do not have much space to store the turkeys, so please only use these early drop off times if absolutely necessary.
Below is a listing of the items that should be in your basket. The Good Samaritan Network, which is the organization we work with every year, has asked us to deliver the majority of our baskets to an extremely needy area of Hamilton county. Your "basket" can simply be grocery sacks (but each sack needs to have your last name written on it) or it can be a Rubbermaid tote or laundry basket. These work great and the recipients can put them to good use.

ALL STUDENTS VOLUNTEERING FOR SERVICE HOURS MUST SIGN-IN AND SIGN-OUT TO GET YOUR HOURS.
Check the attached list to see if you are driving at 8:30am or 9:30am. We need you to come into to Craig Willy Hall at that time and report to the driver table. There will be a brief meeting with instructions. At this point, we have 1000+ baskets to deliver. With the number of drivers we have so far, that averages out to about 7 baskets per driver. We know that some of you will not be able to deliver this many baskets due to the size of your vehicle; some of you will be able to deliver more. We will only give you the amount of baskets your car can handle.
If you have any additional questions, please email Dianne Weiss at
. Thank you in advance for all your generous donations of time, talent and treasures! I know that these families truly appreciate what we do for them.
