St. Louis de Montfort
Catholic Church and School History

- In 1978 the parish was established because of the steady growth in Hamilton County. The church was built in 1980 with an initial membership of 160 families.
- In 1988 Craig Willy Hall was built to provide 4000 square feet of space for social activity.
- In 1993 John Burkhard donated the bell tower in memory of his wife Berly.
- In 1994 the Youth Ministry Center, was completed in the fall. It was designed to provide classrooms, an assembly area, and facilities for overnight retreats in its 10,000 square feet of space.
- In 1995 the perpetual Adoration Chapel opened.
- In 1999 the dream of a parochial school became a reality at the groundbreaking on August 15. The school began its inaugural year on August 17, 2000. This ministry of St. Louis de Montfort serves youth from pre-K through 8th grade.
- In 2003 the Silver Jubilee of the parish saw the opening of a food pantry.
- In 2008 a memorial garden for deceased children was established, along with a labyrinth for all to enhance their prayer opportunities. Both were funded by parishioners who contributed to Mardi de Montfort’s fund-a-project.
- In 2010 our Sanctuary was expanded and renovated to enhance our worship experience. And a new playground was added because of the generosity of people who’ve given to Mardi de Montfort’s fund-a-project.
- In 2011 a new Altar was designed and built by Fr. John Kiefer, Steve Grusak and again was made possible by the Mardi de Montfort fund-a-project. The altar was dedicated by Bishop Timothy Doherty on April 7, 2011
